For a slim and shapely fashion, fashion does its job - we all follow diets from time to time.
But a few strikes can erase your efforts, and the reason is alcohol consumption.
How alcohol affects weight loss
The most important side effect is dehydration. In this case, the cells lose not only water, but also the minerals and trace elements we need, which play an important role in metabolism and therefore in losing or gaining weight.
Under the influence of alcohol, a person easily violates the prohibitions, eats more and more filling dishes than intended. Because alcohol is a product, it has no nutritional value, our body burns calories from it in the first place, but the rest of it is put aside.
Alcohol has been shown to lower testosterone levels and impair digestion, leading to weight gain in return for any weight loss.
Which alcohol does not interfere much with the diet
Obviously, a sweet drink is high in calories and should not be allowed in the diet. Ethyl alcohol itself contains 710 kcal per 100 grams, which means that all souls are high in calories.
Dietary foods include all sweet, semi-sweet and fortified wines, champagne, liqueurs and Cahors. It is better not to consume beer at all for weight loss: despite its low nutritional value, it contains phytoestrogens, slows down metabolism and promotes the growth of adipose tissue in the body.
You can drink one or two glasses of dry wine in a volume of about 150-200 ml. The wine can be red or white, depending on your preferences, strength 7-11%.
What alcohol to eat during the diet
If you're looking for weight, choose snacks:
- low-fat cheese;
- cooked or boiled chicken, turkey, beef, veal;
- cooked, steamed or boiled vegetables;
- fish (except fried and smoked);
- lemon.
The most important thing to reduce the overall harm of alcohol is not to abuse it, not to drink too much. Try to avoid strong and sugary alcoholic beverages.
If you're attending a party, eat protein-rich foods.
